Chao & Associates has been providing structural engineering services for residential, commercial, and industrial warehouse construction projects since 1999 in the Greater Los Angeles area.

We have successfully completed over 50 custom designed homes ranging from 5,000 SF to 20,000 SF in cities like Walnut, Pasadena, Rowland Heights, and Arcadia.

Our process

1. Planning
Meeting

We start with a planning meeting and work with your architect to review the floor plan, making sure it meets your needs, is structurally sound, and fits your budget.

2. Structural
Design

We create structural calculations, drawings, and construction documents for the main systems like columns, beams, and shear walls, including how they connect during construction.

3. Permit & City Review Support

We help answer city plan-check comments and make sure your design meets building codes and local rules so your project can be approved.

4. Construction Observation

During construction, we visit the site to check key work like foundations, roof framing, and floors, and make sure materials and hardware match the approved drawings.

我們先開規劃會議，與建築師一起討論平面配置，確保設計符合您的需求、結構安全，並在預算範圍內。

2. 結構設計

我們提供結構計算、圖紙及施工文件，涵蓋主要結構系統如柱、梁、剪力牆，以及施工時的連接方式。

3. 市府審查協助

我們協助回覆市府審查意見，確保設計符合法規與地方規定，順利取得核准。

4. 施工階段觀察

施工期間，我們會到現場查看關鍵結構工作，例如基礎、屋頂及樓板，並確認材料和五金符合核准圖說。
